*When content is posted with this campaign's hashtag, the content may be placed on the campaign website, Yamaha group websites, social media and various advertising media without prior notice to the participant. A person who enters the campaign will be deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions below.

ARTICLE 1- THE CAMPAIGN
1.1 Yamaha Corporation, having its principal business place at 10-1, Nakazawa-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu-shi, Shizuoka, 430-8650, Japan ("Yamaha") holds the "#SoundItOut Campaign ("Campaign").
1.2 Yamaha reserves the right to cancel this Campaign at any time at its sole discretion.
1.3 By participating in this Campaign, participants agree that they have read, understood, accepted and will comply with these Terms and Conditions.
ARTICLE 2- PARTICIPANTS
2.1 Participation in this Campaign is restricted to participants who have agreed to this Terms and Conditions Campaign and are aged 18 years and over. (“Participant”)
2.2 Employees of Yamaha, its affiliates, their families, agents, and other parties directly involved in this Campaign are not entitled to participate.
2.3 There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Campaign.
2.4 The Campaign will run from 1 February 2026 to 28 February 2026. After this date no further entries will be permitted. (“Campaign Period”)
2.5 Each Participant warrants and represents that his/her uploaded performance video, photographs and/or comments (“Submitted Content”) is original, has not been previously published or won any award. Participants also warrant that their post is free of third party’s rights and must not contain illegal or inappropriate content. Participants must ensure that their post is made public.
2.6 If the Submitted Content contains intellectual property rights, portrait rights, proprietary materials, or any other rights of third parties including rights associated with physical locations or premises the Participant must obtain all necessary prior permissions from the relevant rights holders. This includes, without limitation, permissions required for identifiable individuals appearing in the content and permissions from property owners for the use of privately owned locations. If a minor appears in the content, prior agreement by a parent or legal guardian is necessary.
2.7 Yamaha reserves the right to verify Participants' eligibility and /or exclude Participants at its sole discretion at any time and for any reason. Yamaha may request evidence of rights clearances where relevant.
ARTICLE 3- RULES OF PARTICIPATION
3.1 Guidance on Submitted Content
The Participant must record a video, take a photograph or write a comment and upload it to Instagram or Facebook in compliance with these Terms and Conditions. To clarify the general nature of submissions acceptable under this Campaign, Yamaha provides the following illustrative and non-exhaustive examples. These examples are solely for reference and shall not impose any obligation on Participants:
• A performance video in which the Participant performs the short musical phrase provided by Yamaha on a Yamaha instrument;
• A photograph depicting the Participant with a Yamaha instrument in an appropriate and identifiable manner, irrespective of whether actual performance is taking place;
• Written comments or inquiries relating to music, including but not limited to questions concerning the commencement of musical practice.
For the avoidance of doubt, any submission that reasonably indicates that the Participant is engaging with or attempting to engage with music shall be considered acceptable, provided that all other requirements herein are met. Participants are encouraged to include the hashtag #SoundItOut.
3.2 Participants must have an active and non-private Instagram or Facebook account (i.e., the account is set to "public") or sign up for a free Instagram account at www.instagram.com or a free Facebook account at www.facebook.com. The account profile must remain public during the Campaign Period.
3.3 The Submitted Content should be posted as “Post” on Instagram or Facebook platform of the Participant publicly.
3.4 The Participant may follow Yamaha's official accounts;

Following the official Yamaha accounts is optional and not a condition for participation in the Campaign. However, following these accounts may help Participants stay informed about Campaign updates and featured submissions.
3.5 In order to participate in the Campaign, the Participant must include the hashtag "#SoundItOut" in the description section.
3.6 Submitted Content must be uploaded to Instagram or Facebook between February 1 and February 28, 2026.
Uploads after this date will not be counted. Participants may submit more than one post if each Submitted Content is entirely original and independently created. Duplicate or substantially similar entries may be excluded.
3.7 The Yamaha Product is preferred to be visible on the Submitted Content. Participants agree that the use of Yamaha products in the Submitted Content shall not be defamatory towards Yamaha or its brand.
3.8 The individual who owns the account through which the Submitted Content is posted shall be deemed the Participant.
3.9 No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received by Yamaha for whatever reason.
3.10 Participants must ensure compliance with Instagram’s and Facebook’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines in all submitted content. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification.
3.11 Use of Copyrighted Musical Works
If a Submitted Content features a musical work or third party rights protected by copyright, Yamaha may be unable to reply to, repost, or feature such content on Yamaha-owned websites, social media platforms, or promotional channels. Only Submitted Content that uses public domain works or works for which the Participant has lawfully obtained usage rights may be considered for Yamaha’s publication or engagement. Participants acknowledge that Meta platforms may block or mute content containing copyrighted material and Yamaha is not responsible for such removal or restrictions. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that any musical material included in the Submitted Content complies with Meta’s Music Guidelines and applicable copyright laws. Yamaha shall not be liable if the Submitted Content is muted, blocked, restricted, or removed by Meta due to copyright detection systems.
ARTICLE 4- BENEFIT OF THE CAMPAIGN
4.1 Submitted Content may be selected by Yamaha at its sole editorial discretion. After selection, chosen submitted Content, will be featured on the Yamaha’s website without prior notice to the Participant.(https://www.yamaha.com/en/about/experience/promotion/sound-it-out/) For transparency, Participants acknowledge that the selection of Submitted Content is based solely on Yamaha’s editorial judgment. Yamaha is under no obligation to select or feature any particular Submitted Contents.
4.2 Yamaha may, at its discretion, respond to or engage with selected submissions through Yamaha's official account. While Yamaha endeavors to respond to as many Participants as reasonably possible, non-compliance with these Terms, the volume of submissions, and operational considerations may prevent Yamaha from replying to all Participants.
4.3 This Campaign is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X, META or any other social network. By entering the Campaign, Participants accept that they have no claims against these social networks in connection with this Campaign.
4.4 Participants acknowledge that by featuring their Submitted Content on Yamaha’s website or promotional materials, Yamaha is under no obligation to provide monetary compensation, promotional opportunities, or any other form of consideration, unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
ARTICLE 5- DISCLAIMER
5.1 Yamaha accepts no responsibility for lost or late Submitted Content, or for Submitted Contents that are not posted on time and correct format.
5.2 Incomplete or illegible posts will be excluded from participation.
5.3 Yamaha is not liable for any costs incurred by the Participant in connection with the Campaign.
5.4 Yamaha reserves the right to refuse inappropriate posts, as well as to withdraw this Campaign entirely at any time, or to unilaterally modify the Terms and Conditions without incurring any obligations. Modifications will take effect upon publication on Yamaha’s website.
5.5 Yamaha shall not be liable for any failure to meet these Terms and Conditions where such failure is caused by any supervening circumstances such as force majeure. Such circumstances shall include, but shall not be limited to technical problems, change of terms and conditions or decisions/actions/failure by any third party such as META, Facebook, Instagram or X, severe weather conditions, fire, flood, war, earthquake, riots, industrial dispute, terrorism, acts of god, or events that, without fault of either party, render performance impossible or incapable of satisfactory execution.
5.6 Participants' Submitted Content may not contain, depict or show any content that: (i) is sexually explicit or suggestive, offensive, lewd, profane, obscene, or contains nudity or racist innuendo; (ii) promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any political agenda or message; (iii) defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about Yamaha or other companies; (iv) contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress (such as distinctive packaging or building exteriors/interiors) or copyrighted materials (including photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published via websites, television, movies or other media) owned by others, without permission; (v) contains any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, or street addresses for any person other than Participant, or otherwise infringes on the privacy of any person other than Participant; (vi) communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive image and good will of Yamaha's brand; and/or (vii) violates any law. Any Submitted Content that contain, depict or show such content; that exceed any required file size or length limits imposed by the Campaign or any third-party social media site; and/or that violate these Submitted Content requirements and/or these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified. Yamaha reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to screen and disqualify any Submitted Content that Yamaha believe is inappropriate or not suitable for publication, that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, or that is not consistent with the spirit or theme of this Campaign. Yamaha may disqualify Participants using bots, fake accounts or attempting to manipulate the Campaign.
5.7 By submitting content, the Participant explicitly acknowledges and grants Yamaha, along with its legal representatives, successors, dealers, affiliated companies (including their subsidiaries), an irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, and perpetual license to use, sublicense, edit, modify, post, reproduce, publicly display, and publish any material uploaded by the Participant to Instagram or Facebook in connection with the Campaign. This license includes the right to use such contents for commercial purposes on Yamaha's social media channels and websites, in any media format, including online or in print, with or without attribution to the Participant's first and/or last name. No additional consideration or approval shall be required from the Participant. Submitted Contents that attempt to restrict these rights will not be accepted or considered. Participants retain the moral rights to be identified as the creator of their Submitted Content but waive any objection to modifications made by Yamaha for the purposes outlined in this Campaign.
5.8 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

5.10 In these Terms and Conditions, gender-specific language forms are avoided for reasons of better readability. However, all personal designations apply equally to all genders. The chosen formulation serves only to simplify the language and does not imply any valuation or discrimination.
ARTICLE 6- JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted according to and governed by Japanese law without reference to principles of conflict of laws. Any dispute or procedure shall be heard before the Tokyo District Court in Japan. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any portion of these Terms and Conditions to be unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall continue in full force and effect.
