SKSS has long aspired to develop purpose-built facilities that embody its core values of discipline, unity, and national service. Organization’s continued mission to create purposeful spaces has led to the development of a dedicated movie theatre designed for film screenings, cultural events, and multimedia presentations. As part of this new facility, DAWs — under the guidance of Mr. Sumit Babbar — was appointed to design a theatre that combined intimate acoustics with powerful sound reproduction.

Creating a high-performance theatre demanded precise management of low frequencies, surround consistency, and tonal balance, especially within room dimensions prone to reflections and bass buildup. External noise from nearby public spaces such as Jhandewala Mata Mandir and Har Shri Nath added a layer of isolation complexity. The audio system also needed the versatility to transition smoothly between cinema playback and occasional live presentations, maintaining clarity and immersion throughout.

DAWs shaped the theatre’s acoustic environment by controlling reverberation, reducing flutter echoes, and establishing a stable sound field ideal for cinematic experiences. Yamaha Music India, working closely with Mr. Kishore and the Pro Audio Services team, integrated a premium cinema audio system tailored to the room’s acoustic profile. The front stage was powered by Yamaha DZR315 loudspeakers paired with DXS18XLF subwoofers, delivering powerful yet controlled low-end response and dynamic screen-channel audio. The centre channel utilized Yamaha CZR15 units, while the surrounds were created using CHR12M along the sides and VXS8 at the rear to form an enveloping, seamless sound field. For live-use scenarios or presentations, Yamaha DHR12M monitors provided clear and accurate monitoring for on-stage presenters.

At the core of the system, the Yamaha MRX7D processor, MG16X console, and PX Series amplifiers ensured precision tuning, operational stability, and flexible routing options. The entirely integrated system was meticulously installed and calibrated by Pro Audio Services to deliver maximum cinematic impact.

Today, the theatre offers a rich, emotionally engaging experience where dialogue remains crisp, effects transition smoothly around the listener, and bass is deep yet beautifully controlled. With the combined expertise of DAWs, Pro Audio Services, and Yamaha Music India, the movie theatre at SKSS stands as a showcase of refined acoustic engineering and professional cinema sound integration — a space designed to inspire, entertain, and elevate every viewing experience.
