Leading the Way in Sound: Roshni Audiomatics Upgrades with Yamaha Rivage PM Series

Yamaha PM Series Mixing Console Deliver Precision Sound for Roshni Audiomatics

Mumbai-based broadcast audio solutions provider Roshni Audiomatics has made a significant investment in Yamaha's PM3 surface and DSP-RX engine, which includes multiple units of the RIO3224-D2, offering 120 inputs, 48 mixes, and 24 matrix buses. This setup is designed to support their upcoming shows, where multiple inputs and outputs are essential for upcoming high profile shows requiring advanced audio capabilities. This addition complements their Yamaha PM5 surface with a DSP-RX engine, which was added to their inventory last year, featuring three-screen capability and high versatility.

Roshni Audiomatics, established more than 28 years ago, serves a wide range of major television channels and production houses. Their latest investment comes as they prepare for the upcoming season of the popular Saregamapa show, while their Yamaha PM5 is already in use on the top reality show MTV Hustle. According to owner Prakash Ahuja, the Yamaha Rivage series has been a game-changer for their business due to its large input/output capacity, ease of use, and flexible networking options. "We've trusted Yamaha for over two decades because their consoles are reliable and perfect for our demanding broadcast needs," says Ahuja.

“The Yamaha RIVAGE PM series is the most flexible console, combining exceptional sound quality with advanced DSP processing. It's perfectly suited for professional audio engineers seeking reliable, high-performance tools. The PM series offers a refined workflow and the flexibility to manage even the most complex music reality show environments, which I primarily handle for television productions. Since its launch, it has been my favourite and preferred series of consoles. We use both the Yamaha PM3 and PM5, and they have become our first choice for all our shows.” Mr. Mahesh S Amberkar (Sound Eng.) stated.

Ahuja also highlighted the consistency across Yamaha's digital mixers, explaining, "The entire Yamaha range shares a similar workflow, making them incredibly user-friendly. Their audio quality is clean, warm, and fantastic for broadcast productions." Roshni Audiomatics has a long-standing relationship with Yamaha, having previously invested in consoles like the Yamaha CL5, QL5, M7CL, and LS9. Ahuja emphasized that Yamaha’s reliability and sonic quality have always been a major factor in their continued partnership with the brand.

Yamaha Rivage PM5 was added to our setup last year for the popular show The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Senior Sound Engineer Seby Fernandes shared his thoughts, saying, "The Rivage PM series is a game-changer in the broadcast world, with incredible preamps and 144 Dante channels to manage complex audio setups. It’s rock-solid and rugged. It has become our go-to for all high-profile shows, including The Great Indian Kapil Show. The console handles diverse microphone families, a live band, and an active audience seamlessly, making it a perfect fit for such dynamic formats. We were among one of the engineers team to explore this console for broadcast and live settings and even delivered Dolby 5.1 LIVE for one of the big live concert, a record achievement with the PM series.

With their new investment, Roshni Audiomatics is well-equipped to handle the complex audio demands of major TV productions, solidifying their reputation as a trusted provider in the broadcast audio industry.
