Yamaha Corporation has announced Firmware 3.0 for its ADECIA audio conferencing system, alongside a significant update to its ProVisionaire Plan system design tool. These updates introduce enhancements to Voice Lift technology—enabling natural, clear conversations in large spaces—and add intelligent auto-configuration features that significantly streamline the workflow for system integrators and IT managers. In addition to delivering premium sound quality, Yamaha is making the design and management of conference systems smarter, more efficient, and more inclusive. This ensures that all participants can enjoy an equally productive experience, wherever they are.

Increasing demand for a return to in-office work has driven the need for larger-scale hybrid meetings, while education trends toward interactive, discussion-based learning in large classrooms. But it’s common for voices to get lost—especially for those sitting far from the presenter. This is fuelling a growing need for efficient Voice Lift technology, which gently amplifies voices so that everyone in the room can hear each other without the need to strain. A high-quality Voice Lift system makes in-room communication easier and more comfortable, not only improving participation, but also supporting a more inclusive and productive experience, no matter where the audience sits.

Yamaha’s new automatic Voice Lift configuration feature* not only creates a natural communication space, but also allows system integrators and IT managers to set up complex systems quickly and easily without any specialist knowledge. Designing systems for Voice Lift was previously a time-consuming and highly technical process, but with Version 3.0 for ADECIA and the new ProVisionaire Plan update, high performance systems can be created and deployed much more efficiently. Designers can automatically select and position system devices based on the room dimensions and furniture layout. This update will improve user experience and reduce the time and cost for systems integrators and IT managers.

With ADECIA Firmware V3.0, Yamaha takes audio clarity to the next level. A high-performance AI De-Noiser function for enhanced noise reduction is built right into the hardware itself—no extra software, PCs, or additional settings are needed. It removes constant background noises—like air conditioning and electrical hum—and reduces sporadic, unpredictable noises such as typing and page turning. With this high-performance AI De-Noiser, remote conversations become smoother and clearer, helping everyone stay focused and engaged. It’s a simple upgrade that makes a big difference—especially in busy, shared spaces.

ADECIA Firmware V3.0 also now supports automatic mixing of up to 64 Yamaha tabletop RM-W wireless microphones with a single RM-CR Processor. This upgrade further satisfies the need for larger meeting spaces and events, enabling more seamless, interactive communication - especially when combined with the new Voice Lift feature. System setup remains simple thanks to ADECIA’s auto-tuning functionality, which automatically optimizes audio settings for each environment. *

The latest update adds powerful tools that help IT teams stay in control. The new firmware strengthens ADECIA’s network and security features for RM-W, with support for SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and IEEE 802.1X authentication, meaning administrators can remotely monitor battery levels, receive error notifications, and manage access securely. Authenticated network connection helps prevent data leaks and unauthorized connections, creating a secure and efficient conferencing environment. In combination with Yamaha’s SWR2311P-10G network switch, even larger or more complex configurations can be centrally managed via the RM-CR’s Web GUI. It’s all about giving users a worry-free and secure conferencing experience, while making life easier for IT and facilities teams behind the scenes.

While all these new features help establish a comfortable communication environment, they also enable the design of conferencing and educational systems that are smarter and more efficient. Yamaha’s latest update enables a streamlined workflow for system integrators and IT managers, reducing excessive setup effort.

"ADECIA Firmware V3.0 and the ProVisionaire Plan update offer enhancements that support the evolving needs of the communications market, marking a significant leap forward for conferencing and education systems,” says Thomas Hemery, Senior General Manager of Yamaha Corporation’s Professional Solutions Division.

“As the needs of organizations and schools evolve, Yamaha is committed to delivering flexible, future-ready audio solutions to support smooth communications for businesses and educational institutions.”

The ADECIA Firmware V3.0 and the updated ProVisionaire Plan will be introduced at InfoComm 2025 (North America) in June and will be available as free updates starting in October 2025.
