Yamaha Music India successfully hosted the highly anticipated Audio Engineers Forum May 2025, at Mumbai. The event brought together India's audio engineering community to explore Yamaha's technological advancements and exchange ideas with global industry experts. Mr. Taketoshi Yamamoto, Managing Director, Yamaha Music India, welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude to the Indian audio community for their trust and enthusiasm towards Yamaha's innovations. He highlighted Yamaha's vision to empower engineers and creators through his meaningful words.

Renowned Sound Engineers Share Insights
A key highlight of the day was an insightful panel discussion, which offered a look at the concept and design, development and journey of Yamaha's flagship digital consoles. The session was led by Mr. Arata Imai, Yamaha Corporation, Japan and Mr. Andrew David Cooper, Audioversity Content Manager, Yamaha's R&D Centre in London, UK.
The panel featured a distinguished lineup of India's renowned live and studio sound engineers, including Anupam Roy (Live Sound Engineer for Pritam Chakraborty and Shalmali Kholgade), Alok Punjani (Associated with Rekha Bharadwaj, Vishal Bharadwaj, and Sukhwinder Singh, and Owner of Studio 208), Jovian Soans (Live Sound Engineer for Kailash Kher and Chief Engineer for Kailasa), Ashish Saxena (Live Sound Engineer for Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Owner/Chief Engineer at Purple Haze Studios).

Yamaha's Flagship Consoles Take Centre Stage at Forum
The panel, moderated by Mr. Sudipto Singha (Bunty), Owner of RE-Gear and Sound Engineer for Anupam Roy (Artist), explored Yamaha's commitment to enhancing creativity, efficiency, and reliability for engineers across live, broadcast, and studio applications.
The discussion centred on several pivotal features that define the RIVAGE PM and DM7 series, including unique panel design decisions of the RIVAGE PM consoles, user interface strategies, and the integration of advanced plug-ins such as Interphase, Danse, the Bricasti Design Y7 Reverb, and Genius Lab. The Rupert Neve-designed Silk preamp emulation available on every channel strip of the RIVAGE PM Series and the AI Assist of the DM7, designed to support engineers during complex workflows, were also key topics of discussion.
