RIVAGE PM V6.6 Delivers New Dynamic EQ and Collaboration with Digital Audio Labs.

July 25, 2024. Shizuoka, Japan - Yamaha has updated its RIVAGE PM digital mixing systems to Firmware V6.6, which brings a number of significant updates. These include the powerful new Dynamic EQ6 plug-in and support for Livemix personal monitor systems, through close collaboration with Digital Audio Labs.

The Dynamic EQ6 is a six band dynamic equalizer, which includes an expanded feature set, combining static gain with the dynamic range control and adding high pass/low pass filters to the features of previous Yamaha Dynamic EQ plug-ins.

It expands sound creation possibilities by adding the ability to control the key-in filter independently for each EQ band and an extra mid/side selection on the stereo version of the plug-in. An automatic threshold function has also been added, to help engineers by adjusting the threshold calculated from the incoming signal.

The new update also sees a new collaboration with Digital Audio Labs, which further expands the RIVAGE PM ecosystem by adding Livemix personal monitor systems to the Dante Supported Device list.

Trusted by studios, stages and houses of worship around the world, Livemix systems are very easy to use, while offering outstanding sound quality and robust features for demanding audio professionals. Thanks to this new collaboration, it is now easy to connect Livemix monitoring to RIVAGE PM systems, delivering convenience to users and outstanding device connection monitoring.

“We have been wanting to integrate more closely with Yamaha for a long time and we are thrilled that RIVAGE PM users can now seamlessly connect their consoles to the Livemix system,” says Andrew Swanson, director of marketing at Digital Audio Labs. “Livemix’s sound and build quality are a perfect match for RIVAGE PM and it makes so much sense to be so closely integrated.”

The new firmware also supports the Waves WSG-Y16 V3 mini-YGDAI I/O card and head amp remote control of DM7 consoles, providing the ability to configure even more flexible systems.

“We are very pleased to announce the collaboration with Digital Audio Labs,” adds Thomas Hemery, Senior General Manager at Yamaha’s Professional Solutions Division. “The ability to integrate Dante devices on the RIVAGE PM system has become an essential feature, used by many sound engineers. We are delighted to add Livemix to our supported device list and to offer even more customers an expanded world of high end, easy-to-use audio solutions.

“Through regular software updates, Yamaha is bringing the very best, most user-friendly features to RIVAGE PM digital mixing systems. We will continue to listen to our customers and deliver what they need for the most flexible and efficient mixing experience.”
