MGP Editor

Graphic EQ (MGP24X/ MGP32X)

The new Graphic EQ feature 14 band and flex 9 band modes that can easily be controlled via internal display. This Flex EQ is also used in Yamaha’s pro-level CL series consoles. By limiting the number of bands for boost and cut, the extra DSP can be employed to narrow the filters to 1/3 octave, and allow the user to sweep the filter to the range where adjustment is required. With 31 different filter positions, very fine adjustments can be made. Additionally, finding and reducing feedback is quick and easy using the offset/gain controls to point out vulnerable frequencies before the feedback occurs.

Multi-band Compressor (MGP24X/ MGP32X)

The MGP32X and MGP24X are the first mixers in this class to be equipped with a master compressor on the stereo bus. Both a standard type (COMP) and a three-band divided (Multi-band) master compressor have been built in. Using a master compressor allows you to reduce the overall dynamic range of the signal to fit the environment, and protect the sound system from overloads. A total of 8 memory scenes (3 read only and 5 user defined) allow settings to easily be stored and recalled as needed quickly.

Priority Ducker

While the Priority Ducker's “Range” parameter settings for Hybrid Channel 1 and 2 can be controlled manually from the MGP console itself, MGP Editor provides additional flexibility, offering intuitive control of “Range” parameters as well as “Release” parameter settings for each Hybrid Channel. [RANEGE] controls Priority Ducker's level attenuator, and [RELEASE] adjusts release time. Both parameters can be controlled using MGP Editor's interface via the graphic display or two knobs underneath.

- [DUCKER] button must be activated manually on the MGP console in order to apply parameter settings.

- Hybrid Channels are CH 9/10, 11/12 on MGP12X and CH 13/14, 15/16 on MGP16X.

- When controlled via the knobs on the MGP console, the same parameter settings are assigned to both Hybrid Channels.

Leveler & Attenuator

While manual control of Leveler's Attenuator via the MGP console assigns the same parameter settings to both Hybrid Channels, MGP Editor lets you apply different “Attenuator” settings for playback, as well as additional “Threshold” parameter settings to each channel via the graphic display or two knobs of Editor's interface.

- [LEVELER ] must be activated manually on the MGP console in order to apply parameter settings.

- When controlled via the knobs on the MGP console, the same parameter settings are applied to both Hybrid Channels.

Dual Digital Effects

This page gives you the option to select and monitor FX1 (REV-X) or FX2 (SPX) effect programs.

Detailed parameter settings for each program can be adjusted on dedicated program pages.

REV-X Reverb

REV-X has eight different programs that you can browse and select easily by flicking the pages.

“Reverb Time” as well as additional “Diffusion”, “Initial Delay” and “Room Size” parameters can be adjusted for each effect program using the dedicated knobs or graphic display of the MGP Editor interface.

SPX Multi-Effects

SPX has 16 effect programs that you can browse through and select by flicking the pages.

MGP Editor provides additional, dedicated parameter controls that vary depending on the effect program selected.
